Recent Johns Hopkins baseball standout Mike Durgala begins his coaching career this season.
Durgala, a 2005 graduate of Johns Hopkins, was a two-time Second Team All-Centennial Conference selection. The former infielder started in 123 games, posting a .366 career batting average with 26 home runs and 133 RBI.
In 2006, Durgala will serve as the team's strength and conditioning coach, as well as working with the catchers.
Durgala, a native of Annandale, Va., majored in computer science at Hopkins.
