At Hopkins: Will be in JHU’s starting rotation as the No. 2 or No. 3 starter • has gained weight and strength which added velocity • threw well during the fall season • has the potential to be an excellent pitcher • has good velocity on his fastball and also throws a nasty slider • very durable • captain of the basketball team at Hopkins • pitched for Quakertown Blazers, hitting 93 mph, last summer.

2003: Made a team-high 16 appearances on the mound • was 5-0 with a career-best 2.47 ERA • started three games and tied for the team lead with three saves • third on the team with 35 strikeouts in 40 innings • struck out five batters in six shutout innings for his first win of the season against Transylvania on March 10 • recorded four strikeouts and allowed just one hit in 2.1 innings to earn the save versus St. Joseph’s on March 14 • pitched three scoreless innings to earn the save against McDaniel on April 15 • allowed one earned run in 6.1 innings to pick up the win versus Muhlenberg on April 27 • struck out one batter in 1.2 innings for the save against Muhlenberg in the Centennial Conference Playoffs on May 4.

2002: Made four starts in 14 appearances • compiled a 3-2 record and 3.35 earned run average in 37.2 innings • totaled one complete game, one save and 21 strikeouts while limiting opponents to a .231 combined average • earned first career win with three scoreless innings versus Villa Julie March 6 • recorded complete game victory allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out seven against Haverford March 30 • pitched three scoreless innings for the win against Franklin & Marshall April 6 • totaled 3.1 scoreless innings in games versus the College of New Jersey and DeSales in the NCAA Tournament.

2001: Pitched in seven games, making four starts • recorded a 6.75 earned run average in 14.2 innings with nine strikeouts • induced a triple play in his first career appearance in the season opener versus Widener • pitched 1.2 scoreless innings versus Montclair State in the NCAA Tournament • totaled five strikeouts in five innings in a 10-8 win against College of New Jersey.

Personal: Named all-conference in three different sports (basketball, baseball, and golf) in high school • selected as Most Valuable Player and team captain in each sport • father, Ron, played baseball at Duke University under Enos Slaughter • majoring in international relations.
