BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins sophomore forward Andrew Farber-Miller (Charlottesville, VA/St. Anne's-Belfield) was named the PrestoSports/Pride of Maryland Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. It is the first time in his career he has earned the honor.
Farber-Miller led Johns Hopkins (13-8, 9-5 CC) to crucial Centennial Conference wins over Franklin & Marshall and Haverford last week. In the Blue Jays win over the Diplomats, he scored 10 points with three rebounds. While in the overtime win over the Fords on Saturday, he punched up a game-high 21 points while shooting 6-of-8 from the floor and 9-of-10 from the free throw line. He also grabbed six boards and dished one assist in the win.
In 21 games this season, Farber-Miller is tied for second on the team with 10 points per game. He is also averaging 5.7 rebounds per game, good for second on the team. Farber-Miller is shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 79.0 percent from the charity stripe.
Johns Hopkins takes on Gettysburg College this Wednesday at 7:00 pm before heading to Allentown, PA on Saturday to face off against Muhlenberg for a 2:00 pm tip-off.
