Blue Jays Finish Second at Goucher College Invitational

BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's cross country team led by Doug Karlsberg (Beverly Hills, CA/Buckley) finished second at the Goucher College Invitational on Saturday morning.
Hopkins finished with 61 points, good for second place behind team champion Rowan University. York College of Pennsylvania finished third and Howard Community College rounded out the top four teams. Erik Geisinger of Rowan captured the individual title with a time of 28:36.49.
Karlsberg was Hopkins top finisher as he completed the course in a time of 29:55.84 for tenth place on the day. Eric Thomas of Rowan captured 11th place before the Blue Jays claimed the next three spots. Adam Sierakowski (Perry Hall, MD/Perry Hall) finished 12th in a time of 30:04.65, Graham Belton (Atlanta, GA/Atlanta International) crossed the line in 30:07.79 for 13th place and Travis Koh (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) was 14th on the day with a time of 30:08.55.
Rounding out the Blue Jays top twenty finishers were Dan Pike (Wexford, PA/Winston Churchill) (30:11.79/17th) and Sam Olesky (Warren, NJ/Newark Academy) (30:12.29/18th).
Hopkins returns to action on October 14th when the team competes at the Gettysburg Invitational.
